My love of dance all started when I attended a baby dance class at the Janet Mitchell School of Dance in Rotherham. Thousands of dancing hours later I graduated from the Royal Ballet School in London, with my Royal Ballet School Teaching Diploma, Advanced certificate of the Royal Academy of Dance and Associate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. 

Dance teaching has taken me to Hong Kong, London, Dublin and the remote villages of Borneo, Malaysia - where I was working as the expedition artist with Raleigh International.

I have also had an 18 year career working at the Royal Albert Hall in London, managing events including Royal Film Premieres, BBC Proms, Festival of Rememberance, WI Conferences, International Ballroom Dancing Championships, Adele, Tim Peake, Jay-Z, Cream and many many more! Before operational shifts I tried to squeeze in a class and always felt more energised on the days that started with Ballet! 

Now based in Rotherham I am enjoying teaching dance within the community. Seeing others discovering (and re-discovering!) the joy, social, health and wellbeing benefits of dance. I have a particular interest in teaching adults and love it when a class master a step or sequence through perceverance and practice. Some of our dances are complete beginners, others have some dance experience.
